PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the construction of the KIT Batang flats which were not far from the workplace could provide high efficiency values for the beneficiaries, so that they were expected to contribute significantly to the productivity of the workers.
“This is proof that the Government is present in providing decent housing. We hope that we can improve the quality of life of the beneficiaries by having a more decent, healthy and comfortable house," said Minister Basuki, in his statement, Friday (10/6).
The Director General (Dirjen) of Housing at the PUPR Ministry, Iwan Suprijanto, hopes that the use and designation of the flats will be clear and according to the plan. "The construction of this flat is expected to encourage the development of the Integrated Industrial Estate in Central Java," said Iwan Suprijanto.
KIT Batang Flats are built as high as 5 floors for each tower with a capacity of about 257 people for each tower. The construction of the KIT Batang Flats is divided into three work packages, namely Package I with 4 towers as high as 5 floors with a total of 88 barracks units, Package II with 3 towers as high as 5 floors with a total of 66 barracks units, and Package III with 3 towers as high as 5 floors with a total of 66 barracks. unit 66 barracks. The construction budget is sourced from the PUPR Ministry's APBN worth Rp351 billion.
Based on data recorded in the e-monitoring Ministry of PUPR on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, the progress of the construction of flats is currently according to the work plan, namely for Package I at 93%, Package II at 87%, and Package III at 80%.
Director of Flats, Directorate General of Housing, Ministry of PUPR Aswin Grandiarto Sukahar added that the construction of the KIT Batang Flats is a new pattern because it uses state land. The government also provides public facilities to support the comfort of the residents, including environmental roads, clean water and sanitation networks, places of worship, and sports facilities.
