In this regard, the South Quarter integrated office in the TB Simatupang business corridor, South Jakarta, continues to update the office concept in line with changing work needs due to the pandemic. South Quarter itself was developed by PT Intiland Development Tbk.
According to Intiland's Director of Business Development Permadi Indra Yoga, South Quarter is an integrated office area with a unique design that emphasizes the application of environmentally friendly elements. South Quarter is one of the green buildings in Jakarta and has obtained Gold certification for Existing Building from the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI).
"This South Quarter office is the first stage of development of the 7.1 hectare South Quarter integrated office area in the Cilandak area, TB Simatupang corridor, South Jakarta. The first phase of development includes three office towers and supporting retail facilities on an area of 4.4 hectares," he said.
The three office towers as high as 20 floors have a total area of 123,000 m2 which are equipped with a dome or dome as a supporting retail facility which covers an area of 12,500 m2. South Quarter has a unique design with a curved and organic shape inspired by traditional Indonesian rattan baskets.
Furthermore, these three towers are connected by green canopy with a dome in the middle so as to present a unique, efficient, and environmentally friendly design. The configuration of the three tower buildings is facing each other so as to create a self-shading as passive design feature.
"The advantages of this design concept are also coupled with the use of double facades in the form of window walls and louvre which can reduce cooling loads by up to 21 percent. It's not just a claim, the 21 percent figure is based on the simulation results throughout the year that we did," explained Permadi.
The architectural design of the South Quarter was designed by world-class architect Tom Wright who is also the person behind the design of the Burj Al-Arab hotel in Dubai and the Regatta Apartments. The superiority in terms of design and operation of South Quarter has made the office which has been developed since 2014 often won various awards at national and international levels. The area is also close to Lebak Bulus and Fatmawati MRT stations.
These advantages make South Quarter a favorite choice for a number of multinational and national companies. It is noted that a number of multinational companies from various industries have chosen South Quarter as their office, such as Citibank, General Electric, Calmic, Tupperware, to Darya-Varia.
"South Quarter is able to answer the community's needs for the availability of strategic business and residential places with easy access to both using public and private transportation as well as being developed with a sustainable concept," he concluded.
For information, South Quarter's various advantages have again won an award as one of the best offices by winning the World Gold Winner for office development from the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI) World Prix d'Excellence Awards 2022. South Quarter is Intiland's third project. which won the FIABCI Prix d'Excellence Awards following last year's Serenia Hills and 2010 Regatta Apartments.
