The steps to hide applications on Xiaomi phones that have the old and latest MIUI operating system are different. For older MIUI versions, namely 11 and 12, usually you don't find the Hidden apps menu but a similar feature, namely App Invisible. Therefore, users need to adjust the following steps:
- Hide Apps in MIUI 11 and MIUI 12
1. Go to Settings page
2. Tap the Apps menu
3. Select Apps Lock
4. Set the pattern lock
5. Add Mi Account if needed
6. Activate the Fingerprint unlock feature if you want
7. After entering the Apps Lock page, tap the Hidden Apps tab
8. Tap the app you want to hide

1. Open the Security app
2. Scroll down
3. Find and tap the Hide apps menu
4. On the Hidden apps page, tap the app you want to hide
To access applications that have been hidden, you just need to point two fingers to form a zoom out or widen motion on the 'Home' screen.

Meanwhile, to restore hidden applications, the only way is to disable the Hidden App feature in the "Hidden App" option in the Security / Security application.
