The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has completed the construction of flats (Rusun) for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in Balikpapan City.

The Rp 23.86 billion project has been equipped with furniture and has a number of complete facilities so that ASN can focus on working and improving services for the community.

"We have completed the construction of the ASN flats for the National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) in East Kalimantan. This apartment has various supporting facilities and good quality furniture so that ASN can focus on their work," said Director General of Housing at the Ministry of PUPR Iwan Suprijanto, in his statement, in Jakarta, Wednesday (6/9/2022).

Iwan said that the flats were very necessary for ASN, especially those who came from outside the city because they received an assignment order. By living in Flats, ASN can also socialize and do not need to carry too many things because the facilities provided are very adequate.

Furthermore, Iwan added, for family-type flats, for example, having a family room with a small sofa and a guest table, two bedrooms, namely the main bedroom complete with a bed, mattress and wardrobe, and a children's room with bunk beds and wardrobes. It is also equipped with a bathroom with a shower and a kitchen as well as a clothes drying room.

The flats have general and special residential units for the disabled, public bathrooms, management rooms, prayer rooms and ablution areas, minimarket function rooms, toilets and hallways. For waste management, waste sorting places, warehouses, emergency stairs and evacuation routes are also provided in the event of a natural disaster.

Head of the Central Kalimantan II Housing Provision Agency (P2P), H Hujurat explained, the East Kalimantan BBPJN flat was built on Jalan Proklamasi, Manggar Village, East Balikpapan District, Balikpapan City.

“This flat was built with a contract value of Rp 23.86 billion. The specifications of this apartment are one twin block as high as four floors and has 44 residential units of type 45. We hope that this flat can be immediately occupied by ASN who are on duty in the city of Balikpapan, "he said.
