The cost required to convert a motorcycle from BBM to electricity with a standard type is around Rp. 15 million. With this price, there is no need for other costs, such as for vehicle maintenance.

Furthermore, he explained the importance of using electric vehicles instead of fossil fuel vehicles because they are limited in number and will eventually run out. So the solution that needs to be developed at this time is the use of new renewable energy.
"Until when will we use fossil fuels, it will run out and become pollution, in the future there must be renewable energy that is more environmentally friendly to protect nature in Bali in particular," he explained.
The Mechanical Engineering teacher at SMKN 1 Denpasar explained that after his party did research, there were at least 3 main components to convert a fuel motor into an electric motor, namely the motor, controller, and battery. "Actually, we formulate this as needed, starting from the type of motor, battery capacity, and the appropriate controller," he said.
The mileage of the designed electric motorcycle is adjusted to the battery voltage ranging from 24V 36V 48V 60V 72V to more than 100V. The battery charge time is estimated at 2 - 3 hours, some even more than 8 hours depending on the battery capability.
"We hope that the development of electric vehicles can really be accelerated and supported by the government, so that this will have an impact on nature, especially Bali," he concluded.
In the near future, he and the electric motorbike extracurricular team plan to conduct training and introduction to electric vehicles and invite all high school/vocational students in Denpasar.
