"I really appreciate your presence at today's event. This is your support to encourage the growth of Indonesia's digital startup ecosystem through the 2022 HUB.ID Summit," he said, Monday (5/9/2022).

He also said that although the global economy is currently in a downturn, he believes the digital economy sector is one of the keys to the national economic recovery. The Ministry of Communication and Information also assesses that the digital economy in Indonesia has great prospects with a valuation of up to US$70 billion in 2021 and in 2025 it will be US$100.147 billion.

According to I Nyoman, Indonesia is and has become the largest startup investment magnet in Southeast Asia. This is based on the fact that throughout 2021, 42 percent of the total startup investment in Southeast Asia will come from Indonesian startups.

Meanwhile, the value of Indonesian startup investments continued to increase to US$5.68 billion or approximately Rp.45.8 trillion. In 2021, overall, Indonesian digital startups will rank fifth in terms of the largest number of startups in the world with a total of 20391 startups and have 14 unicorns and 2 decacorns.
