Bank BTN is a bank that focuses on the distribution of housing finance (KPR) and has contributed to the achievement of state-owned companies' profits which reached more than Rp. 126 trillion. According to the President Director of Bank BTN Haru Koesmahargyo, the contribution from the property sector is in fact certain to be larger because this sector has a multiplayer effect of up to 175 derivative sectors.
"Of course we are happy and grateful with this positive performance achievement, especially when the business situation is hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic. This achievement is ultimately also driven by various efficiencies and transformations carried out by the company and this is in line with the direction of the Ministry of SOEs," he said.
Bank BTN itself, Haru explained, was not only able to increase its net profit achievement but also continued to strengthen its company as a market leader in the housing finance sector. The positive performance achieved by Bank BTN also certainly helped boost other derivative sectors related to the movement of the housing industry which has been designated by the government as the locomotive of the national economy.
The positive performance of Bank BTN itself is reflected in the achievement of net profit which reached Rp. 2.37 trillion for the period of 2021. This achievement increased by 48.30 percent compared to the achievement for the previous year period.
As the market leader for housing finance, Bank BTN managed to disburse financing worth IDR 274.83 trillion, an annual increase of 5.66 percent compared to 2020. This distribution of up to hundreds of trillions is still dominated by the housing sector portfolio which accounts for 89.08 percent of the total disbursement. the credit.
The distribution of housing finance with a subsidy scheme (KPR subsidized FLPP) is also still the largest contributor to Bank BTN with an increase of 8.5 percent or from Rp. 120.72 trillion in 2020 to Rp. 130.68 trillion in 2021.
Deputy Minister of SOEs II Kartiko Wirjoatmodjo added, the good performance of Bank BTN for the 2021 period made the government re-inject funds in the form of state capital participation (PMN) to continue to encourage good business performance in the following years.
"PNM for Bank BTN provided reached Rp. 2.98 trillion, especially to increase the capital adequacy ratio or Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) of Bank BTN reaching 19 percent. The government has also agreed to increase capital with a rights issue in the third and fourth quarters of this year," he said.
